New Library Remote Access: Tips & Tricks

The New eLibrary

Our new off-campus access system to the library's collection of ejournals, ebooks, databases, and videos is now live!
  • The best way to use the new system is to start at the library home page and click on the a library resource you need. You will be prompted to sign in with your Einstein email address or with a username. 
    • There is no need to log in first.
  • Einstein students, postdocs, faculty, and staff who have @einsteinmed.edu email addresses should sign in that way. 
  • All others should continue to use their current Library Remote Access username and password. 

If you have bookmarked any library resources or have links to them on a web page or in Canvas, you will have to update them by replacing https://elibrary.einsteinmed.edu/login?url= with https://einsteinmed.idm.oclc.org/login?url=.  For example:

  • Old link for Web of Science: https://elibrary.einsteinmed.edu/login?url=https://www.webofknowledge.com/WOS
  • New link for Web of Science: https://einsteinmed.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://www.webofknowledge.com/WOS

How to access Library resources with an einsteinmed.edu email address

There's a new way to access to the library's collection of ejournals, ebooks, databases, and videos.

Click on your desired library resource

Select your affiliation on the Remote Access login page.

Einstein students, postdocs, faculty, and staff who have @einsteinmed.edu email addresses should sign in that way.

UpToDate Access

Einstein users will have to log in to UpToDate the first time they use the new remote access system.  

 

After you use your credentials to log in through the library's homepage, UpToDate will ask you to login with the user ID and password you've set up specifically for UpToDate previously (not your Einstein credentials).

 

If you do not remember the username or password, (or you do not have one) click on Forgot username or Need help signing in for assistance in retrieving it.

EndNote Find Full Text Proxy Settings

If you use EndNote's Find Full Text feature, you will have to update your Authentication URL in your EndNote Preferences:
