The Prevention TaskForce (formerly ePSS) application assists primary care clinicians to identify the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for their patients.

The Prevention TaskForce data is based on the current recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and can be searched by specific patient characteristics, such as age, sex/gender, and selected behavioral risk factors.

BMC publishes 257 peer-reviewed open access journals in the fields of science, technology, and medicine.
All original research articles published are made freely accessible online immediately upon publication. Authors retain the copyright to their work, licensing it under the Creative Commons Attribution License which allows articles to be re-used and re-distributed without restriction, as long as the original work is correctly cited. BioMed Central is owned by Springer Nature.

In keeping with NLM’s legislative mandate to collect and preserve the biomedical literature, PMC serves as a digital counterpart to NLM’s extensive print journal collection. Launched in February 2000, PMC was developed and is managed by NLM’s National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).

Most of the books in our collection are provided in collaboration with the book publishers. Some of the publishers prefer that we do not provide access to the books via the Table of Contents. All of the book content is available by searching, however. In the Table of Contents, books with chapter titles underlined are hyperlinked to all of the content of that chapter. If a chapter title is not underlined, then that chapter is searchable but not browsable.

The NAP publishes more than 200 books a year on a wide range of topics in science, engineering, and medicine, providing authoritative information on important matters in science and health policy. More than 5,000 titles are in PDF format. Almost all of these PDFs can be downloaded for free by the chapter or the entire book. There are a small number of reports that never had PDF files and therefore, those reports are not available for download. In addition, the series Nutrient Requirements of Domestic Animals and the majority of Joseph Henry Press books are not available in PDF.

You can also browse by diagnosis. MedPix was designed as a resource for current medical practitioners as well as medical students. MedPix also offers a free Continuing Medical Education (CME) course for current medical practitioners.
