Personalized Searching: OvidSP

This guide provides information for setting up and getting the most from personal accounts for PubMed, OvidSP, Web of Science, PsycNET, CAB Direct (Global Health) and Access Medicine

What is a Personal Account on Ovid?

With a personal account on OvidSP, you can:

save searches and, if you choose, have new search results emailed to you on a regular basis
organize your research in My Projects
annotate abstracts

Set up your Ovid Personal Account

Saving a Search

Your account name at the top of the screen shows you that you are logged in to your account. To save a search, click Save Search History.

Using My Workspace

Under My Workspace, you can see links for My Projects, My Searches & Alerts and My eTOCS.

With My Projects, you can gather data from various Ovid databases and organize them into customized folders.
With My Searches and Alerts, you can manage your Saved Searches and Auto Alerts.
With My eTOC's, you can receive an email alert whenever the table of contents for a journal on Ovid's eTOC Subscriptions list is updated.

Annotate References

When logged in, you can annotate references.
