Adding Citations

There are several ways to add references to a word processor document using Mendeley Word and Open Office plug-ins.

  1. Add-Ins > Insert Citation > Find Citations
  2. Add-Ins > Insert Citation > Go to Mendeley > In Mendeley, hightlight a reference. In Word, go to Add-Ins > Insert Selected Citation.
  3. Copy a citation in Mendeley.  Paste it into Word document.
  4. Drag and drop.

Styles

Reformat bibliographies with different styles.  In Word, Go to References > Mendeley Cite-O-Matic > Insert Bibliography. Click on the dropdown menu next to Style and select appropriate Output Style.
