Upcoming RefWorks Changes

by Winifred King on 2023-05-02T09:38:40-04:00 in Bibliographic Management | 0 Comments

A big change is coming to RefWorks this summer. RefWorks Legacy, the original version of this citation management tool, will be discontinued. If you are currently using RefWorks Legacy, you must upgrade to the new RefWorks platform before June 30, 2023.

Upgrading to the new RefWorks is straightforward. Log in to your existing RefWorks Legacy account, click the orange “Upgrade to the latest RefWorks version” button at the top of the page, and follow the on-screen instructions. Your entire library, including folders, annotations and file attachments, will be transferred to new RefWorks.

***Important: You must use your institutional email address when creating your new RefWorks account!***

The new version of RefWorks has a clean, streamlined interface that can be used from a computer or mobile device. There are also enhanced tools for sharing and collaboration.

More information is available on our RefWorks research guide and the RefWorks Upgrade Guide.
