EndNote Password Expiration Policy Change

by Winifred King on 2025-12-09T00:00:00-05:00 | 0 Comments

As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting your account and aligning with industry best practices, we are introducing a password expiration policy.

Beginning February 12, 2026, all EndNote user accounts will be required to update their password every 180 days.

Here's what this means for you: If your current password is more than 180 days old, you will be prompted to create a new one at your next login. Going forward, you'll receive reminders as your password approaches its expiration date.

To update your password now, please visit the Forgot Password page.

IMPORTANT: If you no longer have access to the email account tied to your EndNote library (e.g., @einstein.yu.edu or @aecom.yu.edu), you will need to update that prior to February 2026. Log in to  www.myendnoteweb.com and go to Options, E-mail Address, and enter an email address that you can access. While you're there, you can also change your password under Options>Password. Failure to update your email address may result in being locked out of your account.
