We've got the power! Recharge your mobile device with a portable power wallet from the Circulation Desk.
Each charger has 1 Type C, 1 lightning, 1 micro charging connector and 1 USB port. Portable chargers can be borrowed for a period of four hours, and must be returned no later than one hour before closing.
The Library has added a second printer for use in its 3D printing service. The printer, a Prusa i3 MK3, features a heated build plate designed to keep flat prints from warping at the edges. It uses 1.75 mm polylactic acid (PLA) filament - a bioplastic made from renewable resources.
This project was funded in part by a Technology Grant from the New York Metropolitan Library Council (METRO).
For more information, questions and to arrange a time to print, see our 3D printing guide.
Come celebrate with us! See our National Medical Library Month pagefor more information.
Brand new up-to-date computers are now available for use in the Library. In addition, there are four new printers and a streamlined printing system. All four printers are configured to be used as printers, scanners, and photocopiers. For more information see our Printing, Scanning, and Photocopying guide.
Thanks to everyone on the Einstein IT team for making this happen!
A trial is now available to The Times Digital Archive.
First published in 1785, The Times of London is widely considered to be the world’s ‘newspaper of record’.The Times Digital Archive allows users to search over 200 years of this historical source.
Let us know what you think. Send your comments to Racheline Habousha, Library Director.
Stop by the Library to see the 2018 Commencement Exhibit. The exhibit honors faculty members with Lifetime Achievement Awards, Distinguished Alumni Awards and Excellence in Teaching Awards, and graduating students now on display in the Library lobby.
The National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC), produced by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, will be permanently unavailable beginning July 16, 2018 due to a loss of federal funding. As this repository of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines has been a valuable resource, we want to make sure you can still access the information you need to provide quality patient care.
The suite of clinical resources available from the library through uCentral now includes Drug Interactions from The Medical Letter. Drug Interactions offers a quick guide to interactions between drugs and suggests precautionary measures.
Interactions can be searched by generic or brand name; brand names for combination products are not always listed. Reports of interactions between more than two drugs have begun to appear in the medical literature; where these have been documented, they are noted in the discussion section.
The following information is included for interacting drugs:
uCentral provides cross-links that take you from one resource to related content on another. For example, drug information in Davis’s Drug Guide or the Johns Hopkins ABX Guide, is cross-linked to related information in Drug Iånteractions.
uCentral is available on the web and as a mobile app.
EndNote is available to registered users of the D. Samuel Gottesman Library who are affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The eighth edition of Radiobiology for the Radiologist, by Eric J. Hall and Amato J. Giaccia, published by Wolters Kluwer, is now available online.
The eighth edition is a significant revision of this textbook and includes entirely new chapters. The book is divided into two parts. Section I is a complete self-contained course in the subject, suitable for residents in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. It follows the format of the syllabus in radiation biology prepared by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). Section II contains more in-depth material designed primarily for residents in radiation oncology.
