This guide provides information for setting up and getting the most from personal accounts for PubMed, OvidSP, Web of Science, PsycNET, CAB Direct (Global Health) and Access Medicine

What Is a My PsychNET Account

With a My PsycNET account, you can:

  • Save searches and, if you choose, have new search results emailed to you on a regular basis
  • Set up a journal alert to be notified when a new edition is published

Set Up a My PsycNET Account

To set up a My PsycNet account, click Login.

On the next page, click Not Registered?

Fill out the form on the next page to create your account.

Save a Search

When you are signed into your account,click Save Search.

Then, on the next page, name your search and click Save.

PsycALERTS

To set up an alert to be notified when a new issue of a journal is published, first click the PsycALERTS tab in My PsycNET.

Then click Add Journal Alert. You can then select APA journals to follow. You'll receive an email with the journal's table of contents when there is a new edition.
